Crochet: Cashmerino Bow Beanie Hat

This is one of the Christmas gift hats I crocheted for a friend. It is made from Debbie Bliss Cashermerino wool which is super lush, ultra soft and a dream to work with. It seems to have a lot more stretch than standard Merino wool...very nice indeed!

Crochet: 'Peaches' Slouchy Beret

Hi there!
I have emerged from my Christmas crochet frenzy to post some pics of this amazing beret pattern that I have been crocheting. Once you have done the first one and figured out the 'quirks' it works up pretty fast and they make terrific Christmas gifts. I have already had people come up to me in public and say how much they like it!

The pattern is called 'Peaches' and it is from the Kim Hargreaves 'Breeze' Collection Spr/Sum 2010.
Kim used to design for Rowan but now has her own range and I can honestly say I love everything she designs. The styling of her books makes my heart skip a beat...the clothes...the models...all so darn cute.
The picture at the top of the page is from one of her books. The middle picture is one I did in this lush fuzzy green angora. I also made one in powder blue mohair...gorgeous! The blue one in the pic was made from organic cotton by my friend Susan. She owns Sharp Works...which is THE place to go in London to get top quality, all natural wools,cottons...books, haberdashery, lessons etc.

Well...back to my crochet...I am making a red and black stripey beanie cap for my husband...ssshhh, don't tell him, it's for Christmas!
